Another unique Wii feature is its WiiConnect24, which allows you to receive messages and updates over the Internet while in standby mode.
The only thing that makes Nintendo Wii stand out between Sony PS3 and Microsoft Xbox 360 is its gameplay. Wii is all about gaming, there has never been a better console that is so interactive and engaging for all genders of people. Nintendo’s Wii is equipped with a simple processor, ATI ‘Hollywood’ GPU and a motion-sensitive remote control that is the first of its kind on game consoles. The controller with motion-sensitive gameplay options is as easy to use as a TV remote and has therefore attracted a large population of casual gamers who find it easier to play on the Wii than on any other console.
Nintendo Wii has sold a total of around 35 million units since its launch in November 2006 and has consistently outsold Xbox 360 and PS3 by a ratio of 2:1 and 6:1 respectively. Wii is much cheaper than other consoles, almost half the price of other consoles. The Wii console is backwards compatible with almost all Nintendo GameCube software and controllers. Wii also has some very good games like Legend of Zelda, Super Smash Bros, Pokémon and Mario Kart. Most Wii games can be played with other players online using Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection. Almost all Wii games are stress-free, exciting, fun and addictive.
Nintendo’s Wii is truly an innovative console that has changed the way games are played, both for hardcore gamers and casual gamers alike, and has also attracted many new people to gaming, who have shunned games for being difficult to learn and play. Wii is truly a marvel and a must have for everyone.
