Saving on your food budget at Disneyland and California Adventure

Posted by admin

One of the things that you should not miss during your visit to Disneyland is the food. There are many restaurants that cater to the specific “land” they are in, from Creole food to tasty frozen yogurts, dining at Disneyland or California Adventure is not to be ignored. However, keep in mind that dining at Disney can be extremely expensive and can be one of the biggest parts of your budget. However, there are several solutions that will allow you to experience the delicious flavors of Disneyland while leaving money in your pocket.

If your hotel offers free breakfast, take advantage of it and fill up on a big tasty meal before heading to the park in the morning. By doing so, you will curb your appetite and resist the urge to snack on all the tasty treats that appear in every corner of the park. When it’s time for lunch, eat something light to keep you going until dinner time. Eating a delicious hand-dipped hot dog at Corn Dog Castle or a sweet skewer of teriyaki chicken at Bengal Barbeque in Adventureland will help keep you awake until dinnertime.

Take your food budget and splurge on dinner in the park. There are several places to eat that will certainly delight your palate. Dining at the Blue Bayou located inside the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction will be an exciting adventure for the whole family. The food is authentic New Orleans Creole complete with jambalaya and bourbon steak. Of course, there are also meals for children. This meal will cost you, but if you factor in how you spend your food budget throughout the day, you should be fine.

Leaving the park at lunchtime is the best way to save money. There are plenty of options within walking distance of the park to help keep your food budget low. Outside the park you will find restaurants such as McDonald’s, Tony Roma’s and Denny’s.

Save a bit of your food budget to splurge on treats like frozen chocolate bananas, crispy, sugary churros, or delicious hand-dipped ice cream cones. There are even super extra-large dill pickles stewed in a huge mason jar ready for the picking that have proven to be the favorite snack among many Disneyland guests.
