A new addition to the LG Cookie range of mid-range touchscreen phones has been launched, the LG Cookie Fresh is available as a Pay As You Go phone and is also known as the LG GS290 Cookie Fresh.
This new affordable touchscreen phone joins the original LG KP500 and KP501 Cookie phones with a sleeker new design and enhanced features and will launch in a range of new color schemes similar to the previous model.
The first color scheme to come out of the traps is the Silver LG Cookie Fresh, which will be closely followed by a new Orange edition. This latest LG phone offers touch screen technology for those on a tight budget and manages to pack some great features too. .
Some of these include a 2.0 megapixel camera, a 3-inch touch screen, FM radio and media player with a 3.5mm audio jack that allows the user to plug in their own standard set of headphones. while there’s no support for Wi-Fi, 3.5G, or GPS, which helps keep the price of the phones down, there’s a firm focus on social media with support for Facebook and Twitter, among other websites.
The user interface has been modified to a fun cartoon theme and the LG Cookie Fresh can download widgets to customize the home screen. This new LG phone has launched as direct competition to the extremely popular Samsung Genio Touch and has managed to reach a slightly cheaper purchase price, making it an attractive buy for those watching their pennies.
There are a number of budget touchscreen phones currently available on the market that would be a good alternative to the LG GS290 Cookie Fresh, these include the Nokia 5230, Orange Miami, Samsung C3510, Samsung B5722, T-Mobile Vairy Touch and Vodafone 541 all of which They offer touch screen technology on a budget.
The manufacturer has been busy lately launching a number of new models including the LG Viewty GT, the LG Viewty Smile and most recently the new LG GD880 Mini phone.
