Golf Swing: The Concept You Have Creates The Moves You Make

Posted by admin

The human body is an incredible machine, mind control even more so. It is amazing how a simple change of concept of how you are doing what you are doing changes your physical movements. However, it is only by changing the way we think about or “see” our golf swing that we can make real progress in improving it.

If our concept is that we should pull the golf club through the shot with the left arm, our bodies make the necessary movements to achieve this. If our concept is to turn the body and delay the blow while maintaining the angle, a different set of signals is sent to the body from the brain. Because of this, it is only necessary to have a better set of thoughts to make radical changes in what the body does.

For years, golf has been taught with the concept of rotating the forearms to square the clubface for the shot. The reason for this is that the common baseball bat-like movement of the arm causes the blade to open and close as the movement occurs.

This is where many of golf’s biggest mistakes lurk, not squaring the blade causes a variety of shots, from a simple fade or shot to a ball that cuts uncontrollably or hooks wildly off the intended line of flight.

By gaining a new “view” or concept of the actions of the arm, many of these errors disappear.

With this new insight comes a much greater ability to control the flight of the ball for both straightness of flight and trajectory.

If you program your mind correctly by changing the concept of what you are doing, your body will function like a computer controlled machine and automatically create better golf shots.

Get a better program. Remember how with a computer garbage in-garbage out.
