Elvis and Priscilla were married on May 1, 1967, almost eight years after their courtship began. The wedding was private and took place at the Alladin Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Priscilla wore a beaded white dress and a veil. The veil was attached to her hair, which was styled in the popular “bee hive” style. The veil was three feet long. Her hair was dyed black. The royal wedding took place at 9:40 am at the Alladin Hotel in the owner’s suite. On the same day, the couple went on their honeymoon to Palm Springs, California. Another point of interest is the fact that Lisa Marie, Elvis and Priscilla’s first child, was born exactly nine months after their honeymoon date.
