Console tables in your master bedroom

Posted by admin

For many years, consoles have served as an anchor for the living room, hallways, and entryways. But more and more, they find their way to other parts of the house, including the bedrooms.

While your average bedroom may not be big enough for anything more than a bed, dresser, and nightstand, master bedrooms offer plenty of room to spread out. As such, you have more flexibility in deciding which furniture will work best in the room.

This can include non-traditional furniture, like consoles, by the way. One of the reasons that alternative furniture is becoming so popular is the fact that lines are becoming increasingly blurred with today’s open floor plans. As such, there are no hard and fast rules about what furniture is supposed to go and where.

For example, a fainting sofa used to be found in the living room, but today, more homeowners are adding one to their masters, in part because living rooms are no longer in vogue. They are often called chairs, as people seem less prone to fainting these days.

Consoles are a perfect option if you are looking to add a table to the room. These tables are usually long, but thin, as they were originally made to fit against a wall, or even to mount on a wall instead of a shelf.

That’s one of the reasons that console tables are a great addition to a teacher. You can easily add it against any wall, but it won’t take up much room in the room, allowing you to enjoy more open floor space.

These tables have added benefits for those who want a little more functionality in their bedroom furniture. For example, console tables generally have one or more drawers, giving you additional storage space. They can serve as a place to do your makeup in the morning, as there is plenty of table for your makeup along with drawers for your combs and brushes.

The consoles will also work well as an entertainment center. Today’s flat-screen TVs fit perfectly on top of the table, and remote controls and favorite movies can be stored in drawers below. If you want, you can even put electronic devices in drawers, hiding your DVD player or other electronic devices when not in use.

If you need extra space to get ready in the morning and you only have a sink and mirror, you can add a mirror above this table in your master and use it to get ready for work or a night on the town. If you want to add some old world charm to the room, consider adding an antique sink and jug to the table. Now you can even shave and brush your teeth in the morning, all without having to undertake an expensive remodeling project.

If you have a lot of family photos that you want to display or some memories of loved ones who have moved, you can use these tables to display them. Add a small decorative mat to the table so your photo frames don’t scratch the surface. Another great decorative option is to add a flower arrangement. This works especially well if you are using wildflowers or other flower sprays that have a lovely, fragrant scent.

As you can see, a console table is a great idea for a master bedroom that is large enough to accommodate more furniture, particularly furniture that solves some of the most annoying storage problems we have these days. Today’s innovative designs are not only beautiful to look at, they are also versatile.
