Turbulence Training Review: Quick and Effective Workouts

Last summer I competed in the Turbulence Training transformation contest and won second place for my transformation. I now have a platinum membership and full access to all Turbulence Training workouts.

During my transformation I used the Turbulence Training Fat Loss Manual which contains over 6 months of workouts. I used the Intermediate training and the 2K4 training from the manual. I also used the Buff Dudes and Hot Chicks workout.

Turbulence Training workouts are created to be fast and effective. Most training plans are based on training 3-4 days per week for 4 weeks. At the end of the 4 weeks, your body needs a change in training for you to continue to improve and get results.

Turbulence Training workouts are 45 minutes to 1 hour long because they use supersets, circuits, and interval training.

Supersets are two exercises that are done back to back. They can be for the same muscle group or for different muscle groups. This is a great way to save time since you don’t take a break between exercises.

Circuit training uses a group of exercises one after the other and generally consists of bodyweight exercises. It’s like combining aerobic exercise with resistance training. These circuits are found in boot camp workouts.

Interval training is a great way to burn fat. Interval training is a short burst of high intensity followed by a lower intensity. Most Turbulence Training workouts include some form of interval training at the end of the workout.

Turbulence Training workouts are ideal for the gym or to do at home. I have been training at home for over a year. I am in awe of the fact that I can do a great workout at home without any equipment. I can do most turbulence training exercises with just a pull-up bar, bench, stability ball, and a pair of dumbbells.

The exercise manuals include images of the exercises with descriptions so that you know how to perform them correctly. For people with a monthly membership, there are also videos of some of the newer workouts so you can see exactly how the exercises are done.

One of the things I didn’t like about the turbulence training workouts is the fact that some of them would include interval training at the end of the workout. I’m not opposed to interval training, just think of exercises to do for intervals. I do not have a treadmill, bike, or elliptical machine available to use. If there was a routine to follow, I would have been more inclined to complete this part of the training.
