They will heat up your bathtub much faster than an electric heater. If you frequently need to heat your hot tub during cold weather, this is probably your hot tub heater of choice.

Electric heaters for hot tubs

If you buy a hot tub package, chances are it will automatically come with an electric heater. However, as you have already read, there are different hot tub heaters available and if you haven’t purchased your hot tub yet, you may want to shop around. Electric hot tub heaters plug into your 110/220V household supply and are contained within the hot tub itself. So they are convenient and easy to repair if you have a problem, but you may find them expensive to use.
