For many reasons, too many groups today seem willing to settle for mediocre and/or worse leaders, and despite some of them trying to make things better, we have reached a period where we need the best individuals. , to step up and start leading, effectively and acceptingly, nothing but your people BETTER! After more than four decades of involvement in almost everything related to quality leadership, from identifying and qualifying, to training, developing and mentoring thousands of actual and/or potential leaders, I believe that if we are to correct and reverse this trend, we need to prepare the right people, to take the best actions, instead of those that may be convenient, simpler, less controversial and the trend, take a path of least resistance! With that in mind, this article will attempt to briefly consider, examine, review and discuss, using the mnemonic approach, what this means and represents, and why it is important.

1. Bring it; benefits; beliefs: A true leader must focus and prioritize, providing the optimal amount of benefits to their stakeholders and their organization, but also aligning with the company’s core beliefs, ideology, heritage, mission and vision. cluster! True leaders realize that it is their duty and responsibility to bring it on, which means delivering their personal best efforts, every day, in every way.

2. Empathy; efforts; Excellence; endurance; to enrich; emphasis: Great direction comes from the individual, proceeding consistently, with genuine empathy, and placing their emphasis accordingly! One’s efforts should be based on demanding the highest degree of personal excellence, rather than settling for good enough or restricting one’s actions to the limitations of one’s self-imposed comfort zone! It takes persistence and stamina to enrich a group to be the best it can be, and we rarely see those in leadership positions either up to the task and/or ready, willing, or able to achieve. , and produce, the best, most viable and sustainable solutions!

3. Strengths/ stronger; system; sustainable; solutions; service: If you hope to lead, you must dedicate yourself to making a difference, to improve yourself, and to provide true service, representation, and meaningful leadership. One must identify both their strengths and weaknesses, and effectively use each area of strength, while effectively addressing areas of weakness, with the goal of making the group stronger! You must perceive and conceive, create and implement the best system to achieve sustainable solutions for the common good!

4. Together; prompt; time tested; trust/truth; trends: Only if one consistently tells the truth, and is perceived to do so, will one gain the necessary degree of trust, to bring people together, creating a meeting-of-minds, for the greater good! He must align well-considered and timely actions, with time-tested knowledge and experience, and an open mind, to consider and evaluate current trends and their utilization (if any)!

Do you have what it takes to become a true leader? Are you willing to accept anything less than your staff? BETTER?
