How to use the Word of God as a sledgehammer to demolish poverty and debt

Posted by admin

“Is not my word like fire, saith the Lord, and like a hammer that breaks the rock” (Jeremiah 23:29 KJV)?

The Word of God spoken in faith can, like a sledgehammer, smash any rock of lack and debt in your life. and you can create an image of prosperity and success within your heart. How do you gain faith in God’s Word to demolish the rocks of defeat, lack, and debt that would abort your needs, desires, and God’s plan for your life? You hear the Word of God.

“So faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God” (Romans 10:17 KJV).

But what is faith?“Therefore faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen” (Hebrews 11:1 KJV). Your faith (substance) gives reality to your hope (goal setter). Your faith is released through your words and actions. Let’s learn more about how to use God’s Word as a sledgehammer to demolish poverty and debt:

let’s use an example how you would use God’s Word for a particular financial situation. Suppose you would like to see your income increase and be free from want and debt. The first thing I would do is get some hope. That hope would be the Word of God. He would search his Bible and find three scriptures that promised financial hope.

Here are three prosperity scriptures the Lord gave to a Christian man. that he needed a financial breakthrough.

(1) “Lions are short and hungry, but those who seek the Lord will lack no good” (Psalm 34:10 KJV).

(2) “For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that while he was rich, for love of you he became poor, so that you might be enriched by his poverty” (2 Corinthians 8:9 KJV).

(3) “But my God will supply all your needs according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:19 KJV).

The Lord instructed this man to speak those Scriptures out of his mouth in his bedroom four hours a day. Why four hours? You might think that was cruel of the Lord. Let me explain:

If the Lord had instructed him to speak those three scriptures for just ten minutes a day, it could have taken many months, years to see results because he had a big rock to demolish. You may also have a large rock.

Within a few weeks of obeying the Lord’s instructions, This man began to see positive financial results because that rock of poverty was being broken by his faith-filled words and now an image of prosperity was being created in his heart by the Word of God. Yes, God’s Word can create a positive image within his heart based on the promises he constantly utters in faith.

I am not telling you to lock yourself in your room and speak three scriptures four hours a day, that is between you and God. But how soon do you want to see results? Within weeks, months or years? It’s your call.

But if you want to see God’s promises work in your life for healing, prosperity, peace, joy, wisdom, receiving the right spouse, a successful marriage, success in school, weight loss or whatever, then this format of speaking God-ordained scriptures can work for you. Again, the time element is up to you.

Marginal note: Pray in tongues a lot each day. Because? This allows the Holy Spirit to pray the perfect prayers for any weaknesses he may have that stand in the way of God’s perfect will and destiny for his life. The following scripture supports this truth:

“In the same way, the Spirit also helps us in our weaknesses; for what we should ask for as we should, we do not know; but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with unspeakable groans. And he who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirits is, for according to the will of God he intercedes for the saints” (Romans 8:26,27 KJV).

Don’t believe in speaking in tongues? Read Acts 2:4.

So, in closing, take three Bible passages that cover your situation and start hammering away at that ugly rock of resistance, then look forward to seeing your hopes come true using the sledgehammer, your faith-filled words.
