Posted by admin

If you are a golf devotee, you need to plan a getaway to the Riviera Maya. Just look at the options:

Cancun Golf Club at Pok ta Pok (Robert Trent Jones Design

Designed in 1976 by Robert Trent Jones, Jr., hundreds of meters of spectacular coastline and Mayan ruins make this an extraordinary experience for golfers of all skill levels. Located between the Nichupté Lagoon and the Caribbean, it is located in the heart of the hotel zone of Cancun. The Mayan sandstone ruins are one of the dangers. Open 365 days a year from sunrise to sunset, meals are served every day until 9:00 p.m.

Hilton Cancun Golf Club

This club offers the only par 72 hotel golf club in Cancun. Located on the Nichupté Lagoon, this club has played host to golfers for years. It is a full service 18 hole complex available to Hilton guests, but also others who wish to play here. The fairways and greens are beautiful in their own right, but the scenery and exotic wildlife make a visit here unforgettable. Scratch-off and high-handicap players alike will enjoy playing on this course.

Moon Palace Golf Club (Nicklaus Signature)

This is an extraordinary golf club with not only a boutique but also 27 holes. It is the only Nicklaus exclusive course in the Riviera Maya. With an eco-friendly design, it is beautifully landscaped with natural mangroves and exotic animals. Just 10 minutes from the Cancun airport and 15 minutes from the Cancun Hotel Zone.

Cozumel Country Club (Nicklaus Design)

This is the island’s first golf course, built in limestone and coral marshes and salt water on the northwest coast of the island of Cozumel. The environment has been respected in the creation of this club, and it is surrounded by mangroves, salt marshes and a tropical jungle. It offers a first-class golf test for players of any level of competition. It’s challenging for serious golfers, but fun for the not-so-serious. There is a pro shop, a snack bar and two tiered tees to practice or warm up. The club also offers a green and a chipping green for practicing.

El Manglar Golf Riviera Maya (Nicklaus Design)

Beautiful and challenging par 3, this course is located between Cancun and Playa del Carmen. Its 18 holes offer white sand traps and lakes surrounded by natural rocks. The greens are in the style of the 50s, but they are considered the best prepared in the area. It is a good place to play short games and is known for its personalized service. This club also has a green and a driving range. Clubs can be rented and transportation to the course is available from your hotel.

The Chameleon Mayakoba (Greg Norman). Host of the PGA Mayakoba Golf Classic 2007 Cancun-Riviera Maya.

This club has been described as a work of art. It’s in the luxury resort of Mayakoba, but its name comes from its diverse layout and ever-changing landscape. Traversing tropical jungle, dense mangroves, stretches of sand facing the sea, and long canals edged with limestone, this course has unusual hazards and crystal-clear lagoons.

Playa Mujeres Golf Club (design by Greg Norman)

This club is five miles north of the Cancun hotel strip and is surrounded by white beaches and tropical jungle. It is a premium course, considered one of the best in Mexico. The views of the lakes, oceans, and extraordinary plant life, as well as exotic animals, are exceptional. This club is also considered a model for one that respects nature and protects local wildlife. It’s a spectacular par 72 with pitfalls and challenges for even the most skilled golfer. In addition to the clubhouse, there is an exclusive Pro Shop as well as an excellent restaurant. The first women-friendly course in Mexico rated by the Association of Executive Women.

Playacar Spa and Golf Club (Robert Von Hagge’s)

Located just 35 minutes from the Cancun hotel zone, this golf club is right in the heart of the Riviera Maya. The field covers 7,144 yards. Its design and construction were supervised by the famous architect Robert Von Hagge. Surrounded by lakes and amazing vegetation, this club is considered by players as the most challenging golf course in the Riviera Maya.
