Copywriting tips that make prospects unable to resist your offer

Posted by admin

Did you know that people buy with their hearts and not with their minds? In other words, it’s really the power of emotions that turns prospects into buyers, not logic.

There are several emotional hot buttons that you can push to get people to enthusiastically buy from you. If you can identify these buttons and bring them into play in every promotional effort you run, you will see a significant increase in your sales conversion rates.

Not long ago, I read an interesting e-book by Cris David Young that reveals the 22 emotional hot buttons that, if pushed throughout our writing, will enable us to sell more stuff to more people more often.

I was very surprised to discover all these valuable theories in their copywriting tips and began to realize that great copywriters have been using and exploiting these same hot buttons all this time to generate hordes of sales.

To keep things simple, all of these 22 hot emotional buttons can actually be categorized into 6 groups:

Basic human needs buttons

We always try to avoid pain and maximize pleasure. We seek safety, power, acceptance, freedom, community, and more. Fear, self-centeredness, curiosity, freedom, and sex appeal are emotional hot buttons related to basic human needs.

feel good buttons

We always want to feel good and follow any route that leads to a certain condition that can satisfy this need. Instant gratification, excitement, specificity, exclusivity, all five senses, recognition, and flattery are emotional hot buttons that can make people feel good.

easy buttons

We all want everything to be made as easy as possible. We always look for solutions to be able to work less and spend less money. The all-in-one concept and convenience are hot spots in this theme.

don’t worry buttons

People often have objections and resistance to sales. If you can understand what your target market is worried about, you can overcome that feeling so they feel safe. Fear of making a mistake, credibility, consistency and truth are hot spots in relation to people’s objections and resistance.

people like me buttons

For most of us, agreeing with others is more comfortable than going our own way. The hot emotional buttons related to this trend are social proof and authority buttons.

trust buttons

There are people who are skeptical and pessimistic. These people need to trust you as the person or company behind the product that will guarantee satisfaction. So you need to know the “Wow, I did it again” button, the “common ground” button, and the “unique” button to convert these types of leads into leads.

If you can push these emotional hot buttons in your copywriting and meet the mix of these needs, then selling your product is a snap.

Honestly, I am very surprised at how Cris explains these buttons in a clear and concise way. They are absolutely the gems of copywriting tips that once mastered can be very rewarding for a long time.
