There is nothing worse than having to eat the same boring meals over and over again. The notion that healthy eating has to be boring to be beneficial is one of the biggest misconceptions and it really bothers me. You can enjoy delicious meals and to prove it, I am going to give you 2 delicious healthy breakfast ideas to lose weight. These meals are perfect for breakfast (no matter what time you eat them) and are so easy to make.

The first healthy breakfast idea for weight loss is a mixed nut granola recipe that is truly healthy and delicious. The problem with store bought granola is that it is generally loaded with sugars. On top of that, the recommended serving sizes are much smaller than what the average person would eat. Typically, in granola packets, the recommended serving size would be around 40g, whereas in reality a bowl of granola would be between 100 and 150g. This can be troublesome and can lead to overeating very quickly. For the nuts in this healthy weight loss breakfast idea you can use mixed nuts or stick with your favorite, my favorites in this recipe are almonds, hazelnuts and walnuts.

Mixed granola

Serves 1

Ingredients

• 200 g of rolled oats (gluten free)

• 10 g of melted organic butter

• 120 g of chopped mixed walnuts

• 1 tsp. vanilla

• 2 tsp. minced fresh ginger

Method

1. Preheat oven to 300 ° F / 150 ° C.

2. Combine rolled oats and melted butter well in mixing bowl. Transfer to a large baking dish and spread evenly.

3. Bake for 45-55 minutes, stirring every ten minutes, until oatmeal is light in color. Add walnuts, ginger, and vanilla 20 minutes after bake time and stir well.

4. Serve or store in a covered container. It will keep refrigerated for up to two weeks.

Special eggs for breakfast

Ingredients

• 2 organic beaten eggs

• a handful of fresh or frozen peas

• a handful of (7 or more) juicy and thick tiger prawns

• Himalayan rock salt, ground black pepper

• handful of chopped cilantro

• coconut oil

Method

1. Heat a frying pan with butter or coconut oil.

2. Add the beaten eggs and cook while stirring.

3. Add the peas and prawns, salt and pepper to taste.

4. Mix everything well until the eggs are cooked.

5. Serve hot sprinkled with cilantro.
